This week wine is the red Fronton 2011 Château Montauriol. Very good enjoyable wine to pair with a good steak!

Monday Madness – Quinta Quietud Toro 2006

This week wine is the Quinta Quietud Toro 2006. My boyfriend’s dad made us dinner the other night and his dad is also a big fan of wine. He took lessons on wine on  how to smell it, taste it, and review it. Made me realized I need to take some lessons too…  But anyways, he bought this fine wine and it’s was simply amazing. A strong full bodied wine exploding with taste. This elegant wine can be drank with a strong flavored meal.

  • The color: Dark Cherry color with violet reflections.
  • Nose: Powerful and complex with lots black fruits in the nose and background intense spice aromas.
  • Palate: Lively, dry, full-bodied with taste of blackberries, dark cherry and woody flavors.
  • Food pairing: Red meat, pork and cheese.
  • Alcohol: 16.2%

Monday Madness – Louis Jadot Beaujolais Villages Combe Aux Jacques 2010

This week wine is a red from Louis Jadot Beaujolais Villages Combe Aux Jacques 2010. This very light wine is easy to drink and is very smooth. I usually prefer medium to full bodied wine but for a light wine it’s pretty good. Nothing special but definitely a wine to try.

  • Nose: Medium with lots of fruits in the nose like fresh strawberries, raspberries and notes of peppercorns aromas.

This week wine is the Umberto Cesari Sangiovese Di Romagna Riserva 2009. And intense and bold red wine that hasd a broad texture and a long finish. This wine is full of flavors and spices, it goes well with a great dinner.
